The Origin of Overbrook West Neighbors (OWN), Inc. In 2018, OWN was founded by Overbrook neighbors as a grassroots effort to address the economic and social challenges facing our Overbrook community. What started as a small group of committed residents has grown into a trusted nonprofit organization driving meaningful change in this section of West Philadelphia.

Key Milestones.

• Revitalizing and enhancing commerce on the Upper Lancaster Avenue Business Corridor.

• Implementing neighborhood beautification projects and community cleanups.

• Collaborating with local businesses, community partners, nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

• Supporting residents by providing programs and services that address their identified needs.

By fulfilling our mission, OWN has become a beacon of hope and progress in Overbrook.
